Modeling- The village

In order to save the rendering time, we try to build the village with low polygons face. So, we have to search lots of texture to make it be more realistic. Then, most of the buildings are made by wood in western style, so, we found lots of wooden texture.

Use Cylindrical Mapping to map the buckets.

Modeling - saddle & skeleton (Horse)

There is a pocket at the saddle because the character have to pick out the red cloth in it.

Modify the Cow's model

In order to make it be more powerful, we enhance the horns size. (Use the "Pose Tools" in Mudbox to adjust the size is easier for scaling)
 We decided to use a red color on the cow

Connection between KINECT and computer


Because the plug of KINECT is not USB typed, so we have to buy a converter to connect them. Finally, we found it in Sham Shui Po.

Modeling -cow

To fit with the style of our animation,  we try to edit the model to a cute style, so, we make the eyes bigger. Then, the cows are very cruel in this animation, so, we make evil eyes on it.

Character - Paint skin weight




We also animated the cowboy, we're going to import it into Unity for our 3 sec final outcome video.

We try to import the T-pose character into Unity and animate the camera, and also apply depth of field.

The Rigging of the character has been done. We are going to bind the skin and paint the skin weight.

Unity Development - Final Quality Outcome Demo



We're working on the modeling and the unity development, we also add some scripts for the camera panning and some object's rotation. Everything are still in the progress.

Background music

Background music

 
 We choose "Rednex - Cotton Eye Joe" as the animation's background music, because the fast tempo, and also the mode of this song is very happy, we think that it is quite suitable for our animation.

This website is quite convenience because the sound will play automatically when the mouse cursor move on top of that sound effect.

Animatic process

All of the scenes are almost done, we are going to group all of the scenes together, add some effect between the shots, and also add sound effect and background music in the animatic.
